Description
The dialysis procedure for a kidney patient costs at least 8,000 rupees per treatment and this needs to be done twice a week, which is very expensive for people who are suffering from kidney disease. It costs approximately Rs. 832,000 per person annually for their dialysis treatments.
Since this is not affordable for many kidney patients, the SLKPA was dedicated to contributing to this to ease the burden of kidney patients. This service has helped save the lives of many kidney patients in Sri Lanka.
Moreover, the fact that there are many patients who are undergoing dialysis treatments in Sri Lanka, the government alone cannot bear up the total cost of these treatments in the economy. Therefore our services have created a vital convenience for both kidney patients as well as for the GoSL.
