Kidney Patients’ Social Welfare Function
Annually our social welfare function is held on the second week of December. This is year the social welfare function will be on 21/12/2024.
Objective
- Reducing the financial difficulties of poor kidney disease members & families
- Improving the physical and mental well-being of the children & the committee members
- Conducting various workshops, imparting educational knowledge and advice to maintain patients’ psychological and physical health
Target Beneficiaries
- Kidney patients
- Kidney transplant patients
- Kidney donors
- Dialysis patients
- The above 1 to 4 pints families’’ children & members
Scope and Scale
- Our association successfully continued the project of for the last 10 years, supporting 913 kidney patients and their family members and being a motivation for their lives.
- People who are susceptible to the disease, kidney transplant patients and of course healthy people are included in this Social Welfare Function
- During Covid-19 pandemic also, we were able to carry on our project with the help of all the donations received to our association.
Key Activities
- Free dispensing of medicines not provided by government hospitals
- Donate bags of dry food to patients,
- Organize health education programs here
- Offer a scholarship worth Rs.1000 for members’ children
- Offer travel allowance worth Rs.1000 to committee members and Rs.500 to family members.
- Donate dialysis voucher for the dialysis patients.
- Appreciate the kidney donors.
- Donate school bags, Exercise books and shoes for kidney patient’s children.
- Donate for certain patient Rs.7500/- by Shraddha Tv ( Mahamewuna )

- Expenses for year 2024 for social welfare function is Rs.1,649,769.00 approximately

- Benefits are given to 5000 patients & members of patients
- Providing four dialysis facilities to 100 patients per month
- Providing 150 scholarships for children
- Providing School Accessories for 150 children
- Providing 10-15 funeral aid per month
- Providing 150,000 rupees insurance per annum
- Providing a bag of dry food worth 5000 rupees twice a year
