As a family member of a kidney patient, I would like to let you know that my own sisiteris an affected kidney patient, It is an unbearable challenge when we face the difficultie daily. According to my experiences, such a family is very helpless.Because of a kidney patients his /her family leads to the deterioration of economic as well as mental well being. When we were struggling to find soluations and the guidance, fortunately , All ceylon kidney patients’ Association started to encourage me at all the times. So I joined the society as an active member in order to help the kidney patient including my sisiter. By now she has been given 211 dialysis theraphy treatments by the association. It is a great service for my family On the other hand,Association does not hesitate to pay their attention individually to the level of the patients’ family. Of course,The association is purely charitable. They do their service with the selfless effort.Dedication and committment is priceless.Nothing can be compared. Finally, on behalf of all the kidney patients in our association, I wish may the name “All ceylon kindey patient’s Association” last many more years. This is one and only my wish. Sumith Galagedara..

Sanjeewani Weerasinghe’s Message

“If you have the ability to change someone’s life…you must not waste that chance……” As a humanitarion and an artist in Sri Lanka, I have always believed in the above quote andtried to give a helping hand whenever possible. One day when senior and most respected artist the late Mrs. Hyacinth Wijerathne invited me to join hands with the Kidney Patients Association , I understood that it was another great opportunity for me to add meaning to my life. Millions of people are living with the Chronic Kidney disease worldwide, and along with them their near and dear ones are also suffering and going through a lot of pain and heartache. After joining hands with Dr. Heiyanthuduwe and his very active team, and becomming a member of the ” Kidney Patients Association , It really opened my eyesand made me really aware of this chronic disease and what a terrible challenge it was for theKidney patients and their families to go through life with this decease. …Living with a chronic illness like this can take a toll on the physical and emotional health of not only the patients but their families as well. It can radically change the way they think and feel about themselves and the whole world. For the patients , even the simplest of actions such as opening their eyes, getting out of bed, holding a spoon or combing their hair can be as challenging as climbing mount Evarest. Each passing minute they feel they are fighting a losing battle. It is very easy for the patients to give in and let the tough circumstances conquer them ….and some even commit suicide being unable to cope with the pain, the dissapointments, the financial burdens and emotional stress. The ” Kidney Patient’s Association ” tries their level best to serve them and to help them understand that they are not alone….that we are there to help them in every way to get over this challenging situation. While keeping the wellbeing of the Kidney patients at the centre of their work, The Kidney Patient’s Assosiation also address the unmet needs of the patients and their families .I am very proud and humbled to be a part of this wonderful organization, among the many beautiful souls who empathize with the Kidney patients who arebattling for their lives…Who take time from their busy lives and from their own personal challenges to give a helping hand to humanity. Although the members are all from different walks of lives, different social backgrounds and different ethnicities…one thing they have in common is that they all have their hearts full of great human qualities and generosity . The ” Kidney Patient ‘s Assosiation , try to make the patients understand constantly, That they are allowed to cry….and they are allowed to scream….But, they will never be alloved to give up. We give them the confidence that they are not alone. We tell them again and again that, ” ONCE YOU CHOOSE HOPE….EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE !”. As members of this wonderful organization we do everything from selling the ” paper to collect funds to enable the Assosiation to continuously help our Kidney patients in every way, organizing awareness campaigns and anything and everything in our power to be of help whenever nessassary .I would be failing in my duties if I fail to mention and admire the effortless contribution and the leadership given by the much respected Dr. Sanjaya Heiyanthuduwe to the ” Kidney Patient’s Association which is commendable .I end my message, blessing all the kind people who sacrifice their time, money and efforts to give and collect donations, organize events and being such pillars of strengths to the Kidney patients through our Association . I truly believe that, ” You have not lived today, until you have done something for someone who can never repay you “…. The Kidney Patients Association …..We are all joined like a family …. Not in blood, not in name,But by working together for a great cause, …..Thriving in the knowladge that, We are the reason for the smile, on an innocent face. May our efforts bring comfort, to all who needs our help. And every generous soul, who give a helping hand through the ” Kidney Patient’s Association ,Will live eternally , Even after they are gone….
